The Xenotyr are a race of humanoids which inhabit the plane of Mechanus. They have pale grey skin and are slightly taller than a human, usually somewhere around 8 feet in height. Their arms and legs are slightly longer, proportionally, than a human’s though not terribly. They have large eyes which are entirely black. They are generally stronger and faster than a human though they lack some of their toughness. All Xenotyr have silvery grey hair which they leave quite long. Certiain groups, such as the Xenota maintain a uniform hair length for all of their members though this is not true across their society. In general, the oldest and therefor wisest Xenotyr have the longest hair, sometimes reaching to their knees (and is usually braided to manage it at this length).
The Xenotyr have a peaceful society which values learning and the gathering of knowledge above all else. The Xenotyr live immortally so long as they do not leave the plane of Mechanus though they can be killed. Once adults, they no longer age and many Xenotyr have been alive for thousands or even millions of years. A handful even remain from the beginning of Xenotyr society, more than a billion years ago.
The Xenotyr live almost entirely in a huge city called Sil Xenos, roughly translated as City of Scholars. The city is built upon a large wheel in Mechanus called The Xerosalis. The City of Sil Xenos is approximately 150 miles across, at its very core four enormous towers called the Arcs reach far into the sky. Each of the three Minor Arcs represents a kind of knowledge at its purest form and is inhabited by the masters of that sort of knowledge. The Minor Arcs, The Arc of Wisdom, The Arc of Knowledge, and The Arc of Learning are arranged around the Arc of Truth. The Arc of truth dwarfs the other Arcs and everything else in the city, stretching nearly 3 miles from the surface of the Xerosalis. The Arc of Truth contains the most important pieces of Xenotyr Society. The College of Gods, The Xenota, live and convene at the top of the Arc. The Arc also contains the Xerisae, the library containing the sum of all of the knowledge gathered by the Xenotyr. At the base of the tower there is the Hall of Records, which contains all of Xenotyr history (though the Hall of Records is not technically located in Mechanus at all, see the description of the Hall of Records for more information). Just below the tower is the core of the Xamach. The Xamach is the most impressive creation of the Xenotyr, a living machine containing all of the knowledge of the Xenotyr. Able to locate, define and even predict the motions of the Great Wheels of Mechanus the Xamach is capable of therefor gathering information about any part of the multi-verse at any time and can, at least to a limited extent, predict its future.
